Hi! and welcome to Temporal UI, this website documents a research project being conducted at The University of Sydney, Australia. The research focuses on Email-use and people's ability to anticipate date and time obligations which arrive via their inbox. The aim of this research is to gain enough insight on how users deal with this temporal information in Email to be able to build a new prototype Email-application that enhances their ability to anticipate and manage important upcoming deliverables, events and tasks. Essentially, we want to help people manage their time better through Email.
If this sounds like something that interests you, we could certainly use your help. The research requires regular contact with users of Email who can describe the problems they face in remembering or organising their information. There are several ways you can get involved in the research and the only thing you need in order to participate is experience using Email, for work or personal use.
If you need more information before deciding, you can head to the;
or feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
Thanks for your interest and for supporting us while we try and support Email users!

The next step of the research involves securing 20 participants who are willing to be interviewed and take part in an observation session while completing common Email tasks. The first interview (of two) and observation together will only take 1 hour of your time.
You can participate in a number of different studies which are part of this research, including;
